2020 National Scholarships Available
$1,000.00 CFAA Richard Morris Memorial Fire Alarm Technician Scholarship Award
Presented to a top Technician having completed a two (2) year Fire Protection Technician's Course at a recognized Canadian College with high grades of 3.3 (out of 4.0) in all CFAA’s five (5) prescribed Fire Alarm Technician's courses: encompassing Introduction to the Fire Alarm Industry; Written & Verbal Communications; Electricity; Electronics and Fire Alarm Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS AND RULES:
1) The recipient must be graduating or have recently graduated from a full-time Fire Protection/Engineering Technology or Technician’s Diploma or Degree and have completed the CFAA Educational Program at a recognized Canadian college or university.
2) Submit a written response of up to 300 words in paragraph form, providing a brief description of:
a. your interest in fire safety and knowledge of the CFAA organization
b. any experience you have in the fire alarm industry. The experience can be work related, attendance at conferences, CFAA functions etc. You may also include a statement on your extracurricular involvement (i.e. student clubs, mentoring, tutoring, athletics & community volunteering).
3) The CFAA Scholarship Award winner must be actively pursuing a full-time career in the Fire Alarm Industry.
4) All entries must be submitted complete with academic grades before May 31, 2020 via e-mail to Suzanne Alfano - Executive Director at suzanne.alfano@cfaa.ca
4) The scholarship recipient of this award will be the guest of the CFAA Board of Directors at the award presentation which will take place during the Distinguished Guest Dinner immediately following the 2020 CFAA Annual General Meeting on Tuesday June 23, 2020.

Continuing Education Award
Presented to the top Continuing Education/Distance Education student having completed a Fire Alarm Technician Training Program with high grades in all CFAA’s five (5) prescribed Fire Alarm Technician Program courses: encompassing Introduction to the Fire Alarm Industry; Written & Verbal Communications; Electricity; Electronics and Fire Alarm Systems.

$1000 CFAA Jack Duggan Memorial Fire Alarm Technician Scholarship Award
Presented to a student having completed the CFAA Fire Alarm Technician Program with high grades in all CFAA’s five (5) prescribed Fire Alarm Technician’s courses; encompassing, Introduction to the Fire Alarm & Detection Industry; Communications; Basic Electricity; Basic Electronics and Fire Alarm Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS AND RULES:
1. The recipient must be completing or have recently completed the CFAA Fire
Alarm Technician Program.
2. Submit a written response of up to 300 words in paragraph form, providing a brief
description of:
a. your interest in fire safety and knowledge of CFAA organization
b. any experience you have in fire alarm either work related, attendance at
conferences, CFAA functions etc. and a statement on your extracurricular
involvement (i.e. student clubs, mentoring, tutoring, athletics & community
volunteering)
The CFAA Scholarship Award winner must be actively pursuing a full-time career in Fire Alarm Industry.
