Senior Project Manager
ULC StandardsBiography:
Caitlin D’Onofrio is a Senior Project Manager at ULC Standards for the past 6 years, she holds an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry, and is a member of the CFAA - NRC/Ottawa Chapter, The Society of Standards Professionals (SES), and Electro Federation of Canada (EFC).
Caitlin is responsible for the ULC Standards Technical Committee on Fire Alarm and Life Safety Equipment and Systems, and Standards under the Subcommittees on Installation and Services of Life Safety Systems, Control Units for Life Safety Systems, and Commissioning. Her primary responsibilities include project planning and timelines, participating in Standards development and Codes, reviewing Revision Proposals and Requesting Call for Proposals, maintaining membership, record keeping, and coordinating meetings.

Has more than 20 years of experience in standards, codes, and legislation;
17 years with ULC Standards managing technical committees, including the ULC Technical Committees on Cannabis, Fire Alarm and Life Safety, Security and Burglar Alarm Systems, UL/ULC Joint Technical Committees, and IEC/ISO mirror committees;
She served as Member of Standing Committee on Hazardous Materials and Activities for three code cycles of the National Fire Code of Canada;
Late last year, she was appointed as Member of Standing Committee on Fire Protection for the 2025 edition of the National Building Code of Canada;
In 2019, she was awarded an Honourary life membership by the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA);
In August, 2019 Tess assumed a new role as Program Manager, Building and Life Safety Technologies, ULC Inc.
Tess’s presentation will provide an overview of UL Canada’s certification, inspection and testing services
