Alberta Fire Safety Association

Welcome to the Home of the Alberta Fire Safety Association. Check out our new discussion group on LinkedIn.

Our most recent meeting was held on Friday January 18, 2013. We had our best turnout in years with the Fire Marshals from Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer & Lethbridge were all in attendance. It was a good start in opening up dialogue between our industry and the fire inspection authorities. Please use your log-in to see the minutes (Members Only).

It was decided that we would take on a more proactive roll in educating Fire Officials and Safety Codes Officers in the systems that we work on. To that end we will be developing a series of PowerPoint presntations to do with Kitchen Exhaust Systems, Kitchen Suppression Systems, etc. We are hoping to get on the agenda for the Safety Codes Conference in Banff in June to give these presentations. If you have any photos are points you would like included please send them to info@albertafire.com. This is is a good opportunity to make an impact in a positive way for our industry.

Robbin Foxcroft has been nominated for the next term as our representative on the Fire Technical Council of Alberta. Thanks Robbin for your dedication!SCC Logo
